Becky edited three of my books, a literary fiction series.
During the first book (also my debut novel), Becky handled my questions with kindness, always guiding me to find my own way. As a non-native author, I especially appreciated Becky educating me on English in a clear, simple way. I feel like I was back in school, learning grammar and storytelling, and I loved every moment!
While writing the second and third book, I could easily see how Becky’s “language lessons” started to mold me into a better writer. She did this without ever changing my author’s voice (I honestly have no idea how that is even possible!) and without ever belittling me in any way (this is something I was quite nervous about before I found Becky). I felt safe to ask questions to improve my skills and believe I finished the third book as a more advanced writer than what I was before I started working with Becky.
I highly recommend Becky’s editing services to all level authors and writers, especially for non-native writers who might feel shy about sending their work to a professional editor.
Like many writers, I relish working alone, crafting a story. I learned, however, that isolation doesn't work when it comes to editing. Every writer, no matter how talented, needs a professional editor. You won't see your own mistakes for the same reason the dishes stacked in your own sink aren't clutter in your mind because you know you're going to clean tomorrow. You just can't catch every stray typo or punctuation error, or plot hole. A professional editor will banish all of those tiny mistakes that can add up and hurt your chances of having your book well received. I highly recommend Becky Stephens. The difference in quality before and after her painstaking edits to Coriander Jones On Assignment at Sabal Palm Academy was amazing!

Becky and I have worked on five novels in my Camellia series, and I have enjoyed every step of it. She is very easy to work with and timely in her edits. Becky has excellent advice for helping clarify voice (not changing it). It is important to me that an editor works with me, that we are a team, and I really feel that when Becky and I work together on one of my projects. She genuinely wants the manuscript to shine and be the best it can, and I think she and I have been very successful in accomplishing this with my work. When two more books in my series were accepted for publication, I asked specifically for Becky to continue working with me. I am a very satisfied customer!

Becky is an amazing editor whose passion for her work shines through the pages she touches. She adds sparkle to dull characters and polishes plots until they ring perfectly true. In addition, she is extremely timely and pleasant to work with.
Author of The Lost Clan series and the Masterful series
I don't believe I have ever worked with an editor with such a keen eye for detail as Becky. Even after two rounds of editing with a different editing company, Becky was the only one who actually did the job properly. She is fast-paced, has great attention to detail and her friendly and sincere attitude make her a real pleasure to work with. Becky worked on my dystopia novel, Soulless, and I can say now the difference in quality is absolutely astounding. Once you find a good editor who works well with your author voice, you don't let her go, so that's why I have lined Becky up for my next two releases in the Immortal Gene trilogy. A great editor can make a 2-star book become a 5, and I cannot recommend Becky enough.

Becky edited my debut novel, Spiritwood, and she did a fantastic job. She is a very good editor, with a keen eye and a good sense of the author's voice. Her suggestions made Spiritwood a much better book and one that I am proud to take to market.
